02/01/2015 - 43rd Icicle Balloon Meet Folly Dog Leg, Hungerford
Icicles were certainly present on this extremely cold Sunday, and so was thick fog preventing any un-tethered flights. Only 9 of the 25 or so balloons presented themselves. Apparently this could be the last of these meets, which started back in 1973. Previous meets have attracted over 100 balloons.
02/01/2015 - Vintage Aircraft Club (VAC) New Year Fly-in, Bicester
Sadly the earlier freezing fog experienced at the balloon meet was even worse at Bicester, where visibility barely reached 200m all day. This meant none of the planned 40 or so visiting aircraft could get in. A small static line up was made up from the home based VAC aircraft and it was also possible to check out the hangar, albeit some aircraft were still under their winter wraps.
12/04/15 Wessex Strut Fly-in (Blue Skies but High winds prevented many aircraft from attending)
