Stratosphere Chamber
The Stratosphere Chamber, designed by Barnes Wallis, was built in 1946 to investigate high-speed flight at very high altitudes.
The exhibition covers the inspirational story of Barnes Wallis, a pioneer beyond his times. Having designed the World War II Tall Boy and Bouncing Bombs, he continued as the head of the Research and Development Department for Vickers Aircraft company after 1946.
